Early-Stage Façade Performance Analysis

Project type: Residential tower, Middle East
Challenge: High cooling load and glare risk driven by a highly glazed façade
Method: Coupled energy and daylight parametric simulation across glazing ratio, shading depth and orientation

Decision: Optimised façade specification and external shading strategy

The full envelope was designed and analysed; the execution contract was awarded elsewhere before construction.

Thermal Bridging Junction Study

Project type: High-performance housing, New Zealand
Challenge: Heat loss and condensation risk at door sill-to-ground junctions
Method: THERM 2D analysis following the PHINZ High-Performance Construction Details Handbook

Decision: Revised sill detailing and insulation continuity at the junction

Data-Centre Energy Modelling

Project type: Mission-critical facility
Challenge: Cooling efficiency and demonstrating compliance for a high-density load profile
Method: Whole-building energy modelling to ASHRAE 90.4, with mechanical and electrical loss components

Decision: HVAC and controls optimisation

LEED Documentation & Compliance

Project type: Certification support, under NDA
Challenge: Energy credits and the modelling evidence behind them
Method: ASHRAE 90.1 baseline and proposed modelling, submitted through LEED Online

Building Envelope Thermography

Project type: Existing buildings, survey work
Challenge: Locating thermal bridges, air leakage paths and insulation defects in service
Method: Infrared thermography of the building fabric, read against construction detailing

Decision: Targeted remediation rather than blanket re-insulation

Pre-Design Climate & Orientation Study

Project type: Residential development, concept stage
Challenge: Choosing orientation and massing before any design was fixed
Method: Climate analysis, solar path and wind study, with four orientation variants compared

Decision: Orientation and façade strategy set at pre-design stage

Client names and project locations are withheld where confidentiality applies. Where a result is quoted it comes from the delivered model, not from a marketing estimate.
